Happy Monday. We are back from our warm weather getaway which truly brought me back to life a bit. I forgot how much I really enjoy being warm. A little sun and sand was a welcome respite from the long winter we are still very much having here in Vermont. We went to St. Pete this year because we had cancelled our trip last year when Omicron was crazy and had the flight credits. I also wanted to go somewhere we knew, and that would be easier with a toddler. It was a great mix of beach, pool and exploring downtown St. Petersburg since the first few days were windy in the morning.
We did carry on luggage to keep it simple and I managed to pack just the right amount for our stay (we had a washer/dryer too which was nice). I think I’ll share a “vacation capsule wardrobe” because I loved how everything I packed went together and I could wear a bunch of different outfits with just a few pieces. I’m going to share another post with what I packed in my carry on backpack because I am seriously in love with the Dagne Dover Dakota Backpack. It fits so much stuff, you can wash it, and it has a convenient sleeve to slide over the suitcase handle. I didn’t get a chance to photograph everything I wore but this is most of it!
A Week of Outfits 3.6.23
White Jeans and Tank
The first few mornings it was pretty windy so we decided to head into downtown St. Petersburg and walk around. We stopped for coffee at Intermezzo and walked up and down Central. This outfit might be my favorite of the whole trip (I wore it twice).
Outfit details: Juan Tee, Le Crop Jeans, Birkenstocks, Paloma Straw Tote, Sunglasses, Jane Pope Dog Print Necklace
Striped Breton and Linen Blend Shorts
This was another combo I repeated a bunch. We did lots of beach walks in the mornings but it was windy so this Saint James shirt was perfect. These Madewell shorts were a gamble because I bought them final sale but they are amazing. So comfortable and stylish.
Outfit details: Saint James Breton (sized up to large), Madewell shorts, Birkenstocks
Bathing Suits
I packed both of these one piece bathing suits and I really like them. I did this round up if you’re looking for one piece bathing suits.
Outfit details: Printed One Piece Bathing Suit, Black One Piece Bathing Suit (size up at least one size)
Daughters of India Mini Dress
I’ve been wanting to try this style dress from Daughters of India and I absolutely love it. Their dresses are really comfortable and the prints are all so pretty. This was perfect as a beach coverup.
Outfit details: Daughters of India Binita Mini Dress, Birkenstocks
Daughters of India Maxi Dress
I brought two DOI dresses because they don’t take up a ton of room and they’re just so easy to wear. This maxi dress is another new style for me and I absolutely love it. It can look dressy or casual and it’s so comfortable. This is a great option for beach to restaurant though I only wore it out to eat during our trip.
Outfit details: Daughters of India Jasmine Maxi Dress, Birkenstocks, Paloma Tote, Sunglasses
Striped Breton, Cotton Tee, Linen Blend Shorts
We did a lot of walking and luckily I brought my converse because the Birkenstocks are a great beach sandal but after walking long distances in them my legs were not happy. I talk about the Sézane Conrad tee all the time because it’s my favorite basic t-shirt. I got it in navy (I already have it in white) and I loved wearing it with these shorts and the white jeans.
Outfit details: Sézane Conrad Tee, Striped Breton, Madewell Shorts, Converse
