Talking casual Friday style today in my denim of choice lately, the flare jean. These are from Madewell’s latest collaboration Madewell x Daryl K and they’re nothing short of amazing. Almost a hybrid between a wide leg and a flare they’re the perfect length for a short heeled bootie (I’m wearing the Madewell Billie boot).

Depending on your office dress code, denim is a lovely option for casual Friday. Just skip the distressed and holes and save those for the weekend. I love the denim on denim pairing, a thin turtleneck underneath for warmth and a stylish and classic blazer to keep it polished (Reiss has by far the best tailoring).

Since I no longer have a dress code, well sort of, I may work for myself but I’m constantly judging my own outfits, I wore this to the Elms last week for a tour. Definitely no such thing as a casual Friday in that place.

Seeing the mansions during the winter is fun because there’s no crowds and you really have the place to yourselves but I can’t wait to head back in the spring when flowers are blooming and the gardens are bursting with color.

Loving this seventies inspired look. You can never go wrong with a classic pair of flares and a navy blazer.

I am almost wishing it was cold again it Texas so I could try this look out! Layering is so key and I’m loving the matching denim – totally looks like a jumpsuit!

I cannot give enough praise for this pair of denim. They fit like the best glove. Ever. They have just enough stretch to move, but do not come close to even beginning to stretch out.
