PHOTOGRAPHY BY CRAIG MACKAY
Not sure if you can tell how absolutely FRIGID New York was on this day but it was BEYOND cold. After shooting NYFW street style Craig had to put my socks and sneakers on because my fingers were frozen. A photographer did say he thought I was French though so that basically made my day (maybe it’s the hair?). Despite being absolutely frozen I was really excited to rock this look from French Connection. The top is actually a dress which I can not wait to wear in a few weeks, but it’s also super chic tucked in to these powder blue trousers. I’ve never really been a huge fan of power blue so it’s funny that I was drawn to this outfit. It feels very spring though and despite it being in the single digits the colors made me feel happy.
On a more personal note, I wanted to share with all of you the website my cousin recently designed for Project ReMind, a non-profit that’s near and dear to our hearts. The mission of Project ReMind is to expand knowledge, increase public awareness, and aid researchers in their efforts toward finding the cause and a cure for Frontotemperal Degeneration (FTD). FTD is a progressive degenerative brain disease affecting 50,000 to 60,000 Americans. The onset of the disease often occurs between the ages of 50 and 60 and affects parts of the brain that control behavior, language, and movement. After our close friend’s father passed away from FTD in 2011, they founded Project ReMind, and the work they are doing to raise funds and awareness for the disease is truly inspiring and remarkable. You can visit Project ReMind to learn more about how you can be a part of of this incredible non-profit.
