How To Wear: Silk Tank, Jeans and Sneakers

I know it’s still August, I don’t want summer to end either, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit there isn’t a little piece of me that revels in the occasional cool almost fall-like day we get every now and again. When it’s still sunny and warm but the air is just a bit more crisp.

I’m just going to come right out and say it, fall is my favorite. I really LOVE summer, but if I was forced to pick, it would be fall. This outfit is one of those perfect wear now and later combos, a simple silk tank, high waist jeans and sneakers. I have been living in these sneakers all summer, they’re a slightly different style than the traditional converse and I think, much more comfortable.

This silk tank from Paige is a great piece for any wardrobe, wear it casual, dress it up, layer it over a turtleneck in the winter. I have it in this green color that I also wear a ton, especially in the fall (brought it with me on my last trip and wore it out in Aspen and to dinner with my Mom).

Last but not least, cashmere. Someone asked the other day what are my fall wardrobe must-haves and at the top of list for me is cashmere. Yes, it’s expensive, but the cashmere sweaters I have in my wardrobe last for years and it’s so soft, cozy and classic, it will always be my favorite knitwear. This boyfriend cardigan from White & Warren is no exception (FYI it runs big). Who else is secretly excited for fall?

I love this look! I’ll have to improvise because my spending this month was a bit over the top for vacation. I was very inspired by your post about not trying to buy everything you show and model so beautifully and that it does not define someone by what they wear. I can go a bit overboard loving something so much you wear and my body type isn’t tiny and everything doesn’t look nearly the same. Lol. It, it was a great and inspiring piece to read and you know that this group of women are going to absorb it all and appreciate every word. Eh, 50 per cent will buy the whole outfit haha!!

Love this tank! I remember you got it last year and I wanted it so bad but it was always sold out – when I saw your recent IG post I order it right away! Such a great outfit. Any ideas on where to find a slightly cheaper (but similar) sweater?

SOOO ready for fall! Today was the first day in LA in a LONG time that we had below 90 even at 12pm. It was glorious. This outfit is right up my ally for that awkward summer to fall transition.
    xoxo Logan
