How We Designed Our IKEA PAX Wardrobe

2021 Community Favorites: Blog Posts, Products and More

I always enjoy looking back at the year and seeing what posts, products and other things I share resonate the most. Clearly Vermont was a popular topic in 2021. I’m really happy that home renovation and design content was a hit last year because we have a lot more to share on that front. Here’s what you read, shopped and clicked on the most in 2021.

How We Designed Our Ikea Pax Wardrobe System

I’m so glad this post did well because we’ve since used the IKEA Pax Wardrobe System for our bedroom in Vermont and for the basement mudroom we created. We took some video so I will be sharing more of that process on my YouTube channel. It’s a really economical way to create storage solutions that look good and don’t cost a fortune.

5 Daily Habits That Improve Mental Health

No surprise that talking about mental health was a popular topic in 2021. I still stick by these habits and they really do make a difference in my day-to-day life.

Woodstock Vermont Travel Guide

I love that this continues to be a popular post. In exciting news, I’ll be launching a Woodstock Guide just like my Newport Guide this spring! Also you can still use my booking link for 10% off your stay at The Woodstock Inn.

Vermont Kitchen Renovation

I can’t wait to share more renovation projects this year. We are (hopefully) making some major changes to our house in Vermont and I will definitely be bringing you along for the process (here on the blog and on YouTube).

Top Products of 2021

Hair Edit Detangle & Massage Brush

The $12 brush that’s taking the internet by storm. I recommended this to a reader who was asking for advice on detangling her long hair that knotted easily. I sent her the link for this brush and this rest is history. Once I shared it with everyone I was getting messages everyday about how incredible it is. It brushes through hair (wet or dry) with ease, never pulls and feels like a head massage on your scalp.

Sezane Lucas Jumper

No surprise that something from Sezane would be at the top of the list. I love the brand and especially their sweaters. This one is mostly sold out but they might re-stock!

Solo Stove

This was something I shared towards the end of the year as a holiday gift idea. I got one for Craig after seeing how much my Dad loved his and it has become a very popular item at our house. It’s very lightweight and easy to move around so Craig has it going all the time and it’s nice to hang outside even on cold days by an outdoor fire.

Aira Facial Steamer

One of my favorite affordable skincare hacks, this facial steamer is such a nice little luxury to have at home. I love to use it before I do a mask and it has a little holder where you can drop some essential oils, total game changer for sick days.

Saie Glowy Super Gel

You can’t beat the dewy glow from this product. It’s one of my absolute favorite beauty discoveries and I wear it everyday. I pretty much gave it to everyone on my holiday gift list. Wear it alone or mix it with your foundation or tinted moisturizer.

Seemingly harmless behavior that might be doing more damage than we think.

Do you have this rug in your house?

The allure of cheap old houses.

What successful people do when they’re feeling unhappy at work.

This is what your unsolicited advice sounds like.
