It has been a very difficult week. We are tired, sad and disappointed. What started out as a time filled with hope and excitement, quickly turned to shock, anger and fear. This blog has always been and always will be a place for everyone. A place to escape all the “stuff” and even if just for a minute, find some joy in the little things. And while at times those things may be trivial, I’m not pretending that talking about clothes and makeup is ground-breaking, it is enjoyable and fun and lighthearted. This is not a political blog, it never has been and it never will be, but the events of this week have been deeply troubling to me as woman, as a feminist and as a human being, and because of that I have to say this. We can not allow a man who ran a campaign on bigotry, racism, and misogyny to dictate our self-worth and our path forward. What this election has taught me is now more than ever we have to be a voice for the voiceless. We can not accept a reality that allows anything other than diversity, tolerance, respect and inclusion. We have to protect our fragile planet and the rights of those that are most vulnerable. The message is clear, we have a lot of work to do and it won’t be easy. So I leave you with the words so eloquently spoken by HRC “Never stop believing that fighting for what is right is worth it.”
With love and respect,

Just in case you needed a reminder.
Laughed out loud when I saw this blog post on throwing a pity party. The hanging banner that says ‘Everything is the Worst’ just might be my favorite part. (C)
Netflix had a little bit of a dry spell, and then they released, The Crown.
Looking for some new (and affordable) furniture? This list from Domino is all under $200 and we promise there’s not a single IKEA piece in the bunch.
The letter Aaron Sorkin wrote his daughter after the election was beautiful.
