Happy Friday! I had an interesting week with Marin home for more than half of it because of daycare closures. I definitely stressed in the beginning but decided to embrace the time with her and honestly, it was really nice. It’s not great to have to ask for deadline extensions from brands but I feel incredibly lucky to even have the option to set work aside when I don’t have childcare. I know many parents don’t have that. So much of having a kid has been changing my expectations. This week I had to bring Marin to a shoot (we were creating some content at the new cocktail bar in town, picture above, Au Comptoir). It wasn’t what I planned (obviously) but we made it work and you know what, it was fine.
Is this me finally getting the hang of motherhood? Lol, probably not. I don’t really know where I’m going with this but I guess I’m just starting to realize that when you have kids it can feel like nothing goes as planned. And I’m learning to be ok with that.
Wishing all of you a great weekend. Here’s the best of the week…
