Despite my blog name including the word “Prosecco” my friends and family know that my other favorite drink is a margarita. And in my opinion, it’s a drink that can (and should) be consumed year round. This is a great festival holiday cocktail recipe that’s super simple and tastes delicious. And it looks pretty too!
INGREDIENTS (Makes 2 Margaritas)
1-2 Mexican Beers (I prefer Modelo, or Negra Modelo)
Tequila (about 2 capfuls)
2 Limes
Fresh Cranberries
Cranberry Juice (about 6 oz)
Coarse Sea Salt
Ice
DIRECTIONS
Squeeze one whole lime into mixer. Pour in about 6 oz of cranberry juice. Add about 2 capfuls of tequila. Pour in beer to fill mixer (approximately 1-2 full beers). Stir drink to combine juices and beer (DO NOT SHAKE). Cut remaining lime into quarters and use lime wedge to line rim of glass. Coat the top of glasses in salt. Fill glasses with ice, garnish with lime wedge and a few cranberries. Pour drink into glasses. Serve and enjoy!
