What is it about stripes and pops of red that feel so nautical? I’m not a huge fan of anything too literal when it comes to personal style but sometimes I love a simple and classic combo, like a a striped shirt and matte red lip.

I paired this striped cropped sweater with denim for a more casual vibe, but I also love a crisp white button down with stripes. I’ve also been really obsessed with matte red lipstick lately. A few of my favorites are Nars Lipstick Pencil in Dragon Girl, Nars Lipstick in Red Lizard and Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso. I’m all about a red lip during the day, but keep the rest of your look simple. I typically wear a light foundation and subtle mascara.
