Hope all of you had a nice Thanksgiving weekend. We ate lots of food, got our tree, and put up all of our decorations. I also finished pretty much all of my holiday shopping because I know the next few weeks are going to fly by. This edition of Now & Later has lots of good discoveries, including some new clean beauty products I’m loving, the kitchen gadget Craig gave me for my birthday and more.
Now
One. Natural Deodorant
I’ve tried a lot of natural deodorants, too many to count, some work great, some don’t work AT ALL (a few make me even sweatier). This one from Farmacy Beauty is REALLY good. It goes on clear, doesn’t leave behind residue and it’s baking soda free (a common ingredient in natural deodorant that’s an irritant for a lot of people). Also, it’s vegan and cruelty-free. It’s been really hard to find a natural deodorant that works while pregnant, this is the first one that does the job. If you’re new to natural deodorant, you need to give it up to a month and definitely detox your armpits (I did a post about that here). Use code CYBER for 30% off sitewide on orders $120, 20% off all other orders + free shipping.
three. vegan lip balm
Winter weather absolutely destroys my lips. They get dry and cracked and I think pregnancy has made it even worse. Dry, cracked lips no more: Biossance Rose Vegan lip balm to the rescue. It’s super nourishing and hydrating, has hyaluronic acid for plumping and smoothing lips and Biossance is non-toxic and cruelty free. Use code CYBER30 for 30% off all orders + free shipping today only (12/2).
four. blundstone boots
I’d been wanting to try blundstone boots for a while and when I partnered with Backcountry last month I decided to pick out a pair. Now I get the hype. They are so comfortable, well made and they look great. I’ve taken them on muddy and cold dog walks and they’ve kept my feet warm and dry. I love that you can wear them for everyday too since they don’t look like a clunky hiking boot. I ordered my true size in the rustic black (took about a day of wear to break in) and my feet are narrow. They just get more comfortable with every wear.
four. KOSAS Lipstick
I’m admittedly really not much of a lipstick person. I always feel like it suffocates my lips and makes them feel dry and cakey. Recently, I tried the KOSAS tinted face oil and I was so impressed I decided to give their lipstick a whirl. I ordered Stardust which is the perfect slightly sheer warm pinky/rose nude. It goes on light and creamy and almost feels more like a lip balm than lipstick. The best part, it’s non-toxic and cruelty free!

five. Built In Wardrobe
We’re so close, yet so far from finishing out master bedroom/bathroom. We’re not that far, but there’s a good chance we won’t finish before baby comes and I’m totally ok with that. It’s a lot to take on for one person, on top of preparing for a newborn, so we’ll see how far we get before the beginning of February. That said, everything is in motion and Craig has been full steam ahead working away in there. Plumbers are supposed to come this week (fingers crossed) and Craig’s currently building the walls so the electrician can start as soon as the plumbers are done.
One of the things I am MOST excited about is that we are doing built-in wardrobes with California Closets. I’ve been pinning inspiration here, but my main goal is something simple and classic, I love shaker style. We’re going for minimal furniture in the new master so we can keep it as open and clutter-free as possible. Eventually I want to do something similar for the closet in the nursery but one project at a time, haha.
seven. Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
I am so beyond excited for the new season of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, coming out December 6! I have to admit when I first heard about the show I thought it was something I wouldn’t like, then I watched one episode and the rest is history. The custom and set design alone is worth binge watching every season, but it’s also a great cast and writing. Even Craig likes it and I wouldn’t say it’s his normal preferred genre.
