Another classic fall favorite that we keep coming back to every year is Hocus Pocus. The Sanderson Sister’s return to Salem after three centuries to finish their quest for immortality. Will Max, Dani, and Allison be able to stop them with help from their new black cat friend, Binx?

You can’t get through fall without watching Hocus Pocus. This classic family friendly drama-comedy starring Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler is set in New Englands spookiest town, Salem, where the Sanderson Sisters were cursed centuries earlier. The spell is broken and the trio of witches are brought back to Salem to wreak havoc. Check out the sequel, Hocus Pocus 2 released this year!

Fall means football and one of our all-favorite football flicks is Remember the Titans. This inspirational film starring Denzel Washington tells the true story of an African-American football coach in 1970s Virginia and how he helped his team overcome their differences and become champions.

Harry Potter
For Harry Potter fans you can’t go back to school without indulging in some Hogwarts throwbacks each fall. Although the series has changed streaming networks a few times now, the entire 8-film Harry Potter collection can currently be binged on Peacock. The special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts reunion is on HBO Max.
Practical Magic
We just recently rewatched Practical Magic and it reminded me of what a fun fall classic it is. This 1989 flick, starring the dynamic duo Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman tells the tale of two cousin witches, a family love curse and a spell gone wrong.
BeetleJuice
Another Tim Burton Halloween classic is Beetle Juice. Although I have never been the biggest Tim Burton fan, I love Beetle Juice. Still has his strange, dark flair but great music and comedic relief. Beetle Juice follows two ghosts who decided to try their hand at evicting the new owners of their home.
Good Will Hunting
Good Will Hunting is an intellectual drama starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Robin Williams. It tells the story of a genius janitor and his relationship with his therapist, a mathematician and working class folks.
Little Shop of Horrors
Little Shop of Horrors starring Bill Murray is horror, comedy and musical all wrapped up in one sweet flick about an awkward florist whose giant man-eating plant helps him find love. The perfect strange, entertaining film for October!
