You may have caught a glimpse of some of these sweaters and knits last weekend from this Reel. When one of my favorite fashion brands White + Warren asked if I would partner with them to talk about the launch of their sustainability initiatives I was thrilled. I have been a fan of the brand for years. And you’ve probably seen me wearing their iconic travel wrap on numerous occasions. It’s one of my favorite wardrobe staples and I’ve had my first one for at least 5 years now. They are classic, timeless and the quality is impeccable. I’ve learned so much about White + Warren, their incredible team (the whole company is only 25 people!), and the sustainability efforts they’re making from materials to manufacturing to packaging. I’m really excited to share more of that with you today, along with some of my favorite styles for spring.

Sustainable Knitwear for Spring
White + Warren Cashmere
I thought I would start with what White + Warren is typically best known for, their cashmere. All of White and Warren’s cashmere is 100% traceable. Their main goal is always focused on high quality, because a piece that lasts is the most sustainable one. The focus with their traceable cashmere is transparency from farm to finished garment. Their cashmere styles are made from traceable fibers, produced ethically and sustainably with eco friendly practices. Something that I find impressive, they’ve been working with the same factory since the beginning of their brand. And as of 2021, their factory has received two certifications required for traceable cashmere: The Good Cashmere Standard® and The Sustainability Fibre Alliance.
Of course my favorite cashmere is their travel wrap. I wear them all year round, as a scarf, a blanket for travel, and an evening wrap (they’re perfect for weddings too). Here is some style inspo with the travel wrap. Check out my Reel here too! I also have this lounge set, with the cashmere hoodie and sweatpants (both small).
Sustainable Cotton
I was really excited to try their sustainable cotton because of the process and materials that make it possible. Their sustainable cotton styles are made from a blend of certified organic cotton and polyester crafted from recycled plastic bottles harvested from the ocean. They’ve partnered with a skilled Italian mill that processes them into a recycled Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified cotton yarn that’s soft and luxurious. I can attest to how soft they are too. I couldn’t believe how soft the sweaters are. that’s as soft and luxurious as it is environmentally friendly.
My two favorite sustainable cotton styles for spring (and summer) are the rainbow crewneck and the cotton patch pocket v neck cardigan. The rainbow crewneck has a relaxed fit which I love (I have a size small) and looks great with jeans or trousers. The bright colors are an instant mood booster. The navy cotton cardigan (also wearing in small) is classic and timeless, and works with pretty much everything in my wardrobe from jeans to dresses. I love it styled over a tank or tee, with a midi dress or under a camel blazer. Here are two recent outfits I’ve worn with the sustainable cotton sweaters.
Linen
Linen is one of my favorite fabrics, especially for warmer weather. It’s a natural fiber made from the fast-growing flax plant requiring fewer resources than other natural materials, including water. White + Warren’s 100% organic linen styles are made without chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Their styles are also lightweight and soft. They also offer a linen gauze style fabric, which is a blend of linen and Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) certified cotton that is dyed with recycled water. My favorite style for spring is the cotton linen marled crewneck (I’m wearing here in small). It looks great with white pants and loafers or jeans and sneakers. Definitely a style you can dress up or down and it’s so comfortable. A great knit for spring and summer, I will definitely be wearing this on our bike rides to the beach, it’s super soft and breezy.
