This café, named after the Green Mountains of Vermont has delicious offerings from their excellent full coffee bar, scones, muffins and all the baked goods your heart desires and breakfast and lunch staples like the breakfast burrito, Challa French toast, North Country BLT and Cobb Salad. You truly can’t go wrong with any of their delicious offerings!
The White Cottage
The White Cottage is the perfect family friendly location to stop on a hot sunny day and cool off with some fried food, ice cream cone and a dip in the river. Order your food (cash only but there is an ATM onsite) and then head down to the river and enjoy on one of the picnic tables while overlooking the beautiful Ottauquechee River. Your kids can splash around in the shallow river after lunch, while you relax and enjoy a beautiful Vermont day!
Woodstock Scoops
Woodstock Scoops is Woodstock’s favorite ice cream shop, but also provides fantastic Grab-N-Go lunch and snack options. Enjoy a soft pretzel, panini, hot dog, chicken salad and pasta salad to-go. Open Thursday-Monday (closed Tuesday & Wednesday) 12-5pm.
The Village Butcher Shop
The Village Butcher Shop is the best place in town to stop for friendly, quality service and the best to-go sandwiches for lunch. They are always packed with all the goods and they will make it just how you like it! We recommend the roast beef and turkey BLT. Also a great place to grab some meat to grill for dinner or wine to enjoy later. Open Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm (closed Sunday and Monday).
The Woodstock Farmer’s Market
You can’t come to Woodstock, without making a trip to the Woodstock Farmer’s Market. Grab one of their pre-made sandwiches, salads or meals and enjoy on the go. Enjoy their delicious selection of fresh and local produce and meats and stock up on all your favorite Vermont made products! Open Tuesday-Sunday 9am-6pm (closed Monday).
Barnard General Store
If you are venturing out of Woodstock to enjoy Silver Lake, the Barnard General Store is a great place to grab a sandwich and some ice cream for lunch. With options for hot and cold sandwiches, salads, hot dogs and more you can’t go wrong! Open Monday through Saturday 7am-7pm and Sunday 8am-6pm.
South Woodstock Country Store
The South Woodstock Country Store is worth a quick drive out of the village for an excellent sandwich. Enjoy one of Vermont’s classic country stores with all sorts of local products and goodies, while you wait for your sandwich. We recommend the Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap or a classic Tuna Melt if that’s your thing. Sit on the front porch rocking chairs while you wait or eat on the beautiful lawn with chairs and picnic tables. Open Monday-Saturday 7:30am-5pm and Sunday 8:30am-4pm.
Soulfully Good Café
Soulfully Good is another great café to grab a bite to eat right in the village of Woodstock. With excellent sandwich and salad options you can’t go wrong. Try their Pear, Chicken and Blue Salad or one of their delicious paninis. Open Wednesday-Saturday 8am-3:30pm and Sunday 9am-2pm (closed Monday and Tuesday).
The Worthy Kitchen
The Worthy Kitchen is a farm-to-table burger and beer joint with the best selection of our state’s craft beer. You can have everything from a salad, to wings, to the fried chicken sandwich and of course one of their famous juicy burgers. Open for lunch on Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am.
Mountain Creamery
For a true farm-to-table diner experience, head to the Mountain Creamery located just a few minutes outside the village west on route 4. You can expect delicious soups, salads and sandwiches from this no frills diner and don’t forget to try their homemade ice cream! Open Thursday-Tuesday 7am-3pm (closed Wednesday). This is great option on Mondays when most things in Woodstock are closed!
Ramuntos Brick and Brew Pizza
Ramuntos in Bridgewater, Vermont is also a short drive out of the village but another great family-friendly option. They have delicious New York style pizza, full bar and great selection of beers on tap. Not to mention, a game room that will keep the kids happy! Open Friday-Sunday 12-9pm and Thursday 3-9pm (closed Monday-Wednesday).
Sante
