Mon Vert Cafe
Conveniently located right in downtown Woodstock, Mon Vert Cafe is a favorite breakfast and lunch take out option. This organic cafe is a haven for both locals and tourists alike. With everything from their famous “challa” French toast to their breakfast burrito, BLT and quesadilla– you can’t go wrong! Plenty of vegetarian options as well! Open Friday-Wednesday (closed Thursday) online ordering is available 7:30am-2:30pm. Note: during holiday weekends in person and phone orders only. Mon Vert is one of the most popular places to get a bite to eat in town, please be understanding of long lines and a long wait on busy days.
Soulfully Good Cafe
Soulfully Good is another favorite downtown cafe in the heart of Woodstock. In addition, Soulfully Good has great baked goods, salads and sandwich options for breakfast and lunch. Open Wednesday-Sunday 8am-4pm (2pm on Sundays). Phone orders will be taken as long as foot traffic allows. Be aware that June-October is often the busiest season. Village Butcher
The Village Butcher is a great “on the go” option for a quick breakfast or lunch. Grab one of their delicious pre-made breakfast sandwiches or pastries to go or order a freshly made sandwich for lunch. They also have delicious options for an easy dinner like rotisserie chickens, premade meatballs with sauce and bolognese sauce. It’s so good! You can always guarantee the freshest, most quality ingredients and friendly service at The Village Butcher.
Splendid Bakes
Splendid Bakes by Banks is a new addition to Woodstock located next to the Norman Williams Library. The place is open Monday-Saturday 11am-5pm. They sell delicious pastries, cakes, desserts and sandwiches. Head in and grab something delicious to enjoy while you peruse Woodstock’s village.
MOUNTAIN CREAMERY
The Mountain Creamery is located a 5 minute drive from downtown Woodstock in West Woodstock. This farm-to-table diner is a great spot to get pancakes, waffles, soup, salad or sandwich for breakfast or lunch. Open Thursday-Tuesday 7am-3pm for a delicious farm fresh diner meal!
Barnard General Store
Established in 1832, The Barnard General Store stands as one of Vermont’s oldest General Stores. Located right on Silver Lake, the store’s rustic wood floors, old fashioned lunch counter, and charming wood stove create a setting that you just can’t find anywhere else. Serving up an array of groceries and baked good along with breakfast, hot and cold sandwiches and ice cream (seasonally).
Dinner Take Out Options
Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is located on the east end of Woodstock and makes a great take out option for dinner if you are craving some Cambodian & Thai flavors. This fusion restaurant has delicious options including spring rolls, wings, dumplings, pad Thai and curry soup. Open Tuesday-Sunday 4-8:30pm. Give them a call to make your order.
Pizza Chef
If you are looking for something casual and kid friendly, Woodstock Pizza Chef is a favorite in town amongst locals for weekly Friday pizza nights. Classic pizza, wings, mozzarella sticks, subs and salads for the whole family to enjoy! Open Sunday-Friday 11am-8pm (closed Saturday) and located just outside the village.
Ramuntos Pizza
Ramuntos Brick & Brew Pizza in Bridgewater, Vermont–about 10 minutes down the road from Woodstock is another great option for a family takeout pizza night. In addition, Ramunto’s makes New York style pizza and also has options for subs, salads, wings and more. Open Thursday 3-9pm and Friday-Sunday 12-9pm.
Worthy Kitchen
Worthy Kitchen is another favorite amongst locals for both dine in and out options. This farm-to-kitchen American style restaurant serves everything from mac & cheese, crispy fried chicken sandwiches and truffle fries to salads and poke bowls. Open Thursday & Friday 4-9pm and Saturday & Sunday 11:30am-9pm.
The Ransom Tavern
If you are looking for traditional Neopolitan fare, The Kedron Valley Inn’s Ransom Tavern is a great takeout option. Located in South Woodstock a 10 minute drive from the Woodstock village, The Ransom Tavern makes delicious pizzas and salads. Open Wednesday-Saturday 5pm-9pm.
Taj-E-India
Taj-E-India is one of our favorite local takeout spots and it’s worth a bit of a drive out of Woodstock. Located in White River Junction just 20 minutes outside of Woodstock, Taj-E is a traditional North Indian takeout and catering business. Their fresh ingredients and delicious, flavorful meals make this a hidden gem in the area! Bonus: they are open on Mondays when everything else is closed! Open Monday 4-8pm and Tuesday-Sunday 11:30am-8pm.
Pim’s Thai Orchid
Pim’s Thai Orchid is another 20-30 minute drive out of Woodstock well worth the adventure. In fact, Pim’s is Jess’s favorite local takeout located in Lebanon, New Hampshire with traditional Thai cuisine that boasts amazing flavor and authenticity. Open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-8:45pm and Sunday noon-8:45pm.
Melaza
Check out takeout options at Melaza for traditional Caribbean fare. Open Friday-Monday 5:30pm-close. Takeout orders must be made between 4:30-6pm. Note: takeout options are not always available during the busier evenings or seasons. Call and check to be sure this is an option while you are in town.
Richardson’s Tavern
Richardson’s Tavern also has delicious food options. Again their hours vary depending on the season and they do often close during the off season. Be sure to call ahead of time. Open Friday-Monday 5-9pm.
