One of the most incredible places in Newport is Cliff Walk. This iconic 3.5-mile path has stunning views, surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and historic mansions on the other. There are several entry points to the Cliff Walk including Memorial Blvd, Narragansett Ave, and Ledge Road. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. The easiest part of the Cliff Walk starts from Memorial Blvd near the Chanler. There is a portion that is stroller friendly, but as you go towards Rejects Beach there are rocky sections. Take in the Beauty of Newport Beaches

Stroll along this iconic street lined with grand mansions and historic landmarks, each telling a story of Newport’s Gilded Age. Spring is a wonderful time to walk along Bellevue Avenue, pop into stores/art galleries like Kristen Coates or the Audrain Automobile Museum.

Go Birdwatching at Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge
If you are looking for an outdoor activity with stunning views and a peaceful environment, Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge is the place to be. Open from sunrise to sunset, the refuge is home to the second largest wintering population of harlequin ducks on the Atlantic coast. Along your walk you may also see loons, eiders, and gannets, along with more than 200 bird species that visit the refuge seasonally.
There are nearly 3 miles of trails around Sachuest Point with elevated observation platforms along the way. The trails are packed gravel and easy to navigate. Take in the View at Castle Hill
